1. FOUNDATION
GADALA ORIENTAL DANCE STUDIO was founded in September 2005 aiming at the promotion of oriental dance and rich Arabic culture.
Founder and director of GADALA ORIENTAL DANCE STUDIO is the greek - egyptian chorographer and oriental dance teacher Gadala Fotini (Examiner recognized from N.D.C.G. for professional and amateur examinations in bellydance)
Gadala Fotini was born and grew up in Asouan -Egypt. Because of her father originality, began her first steps in the dance in age of 8 years. Reasons stood her familial environment, the extreme popular tradition of Egypt in the traditional local belly dance and her love for the dance.
In Greece where she was stayed permanently with her family, complete her study in the Administration Economy and continues her study in the university in the sector of Greek culture.
Her study on Greek traditional dances, the folklore and her academic study in the Greek Culture “make” Gadala Fotini an active member in cultural associations and social institutions-organizations. Weakness her however existed always the Egyptian culture, popular art and the folklore.
Her important station in her dance career was the recognition of her choreography in 2004 from the I.D.T.A. (International Dance and Teachers Association) England with grades 92/100.
Her method and the technique of teaching caused the interest of I.D.T.A. of England and with I.D.T.A’s invitation, Gadala Fotini participated as lector in oriental dance in BALLROOM BRANCE SEMINAR that was carried out in Athens in 2004. Her proposal had title “TECHNIQUE OF TEACHING BELLY DANCING” and was reported in the right method of teaching of - infectiousness in the learning and right comprehension of the structure in belly dancing.
In June 2005, GADALA DANCE STUDIO becomes officially member of NATIONAL COUNCIL DANCE OF GREECE and W.D.C. (WORLD DANCE COUNCIL)
In November 2005 and after multiannual research on Egypt, Turkish, Libyan culture and folklore art, Gadala Fotini recommend in the NATIONAL COUNCIL of DANCE GREECE, her work titled “SYLLABUS OF BELLYDANCE” and “THE TECHNIQUE OF MALE AND FEMALE ORIENTAL DANCING” which was approved by N.D.C.G. and be used officially as didactics and examination’s part in amateur and professional examinations of oriental dance aiming at the achievement of proportional certified degree with the validity of NATIONAL COUNCIL DANCE of GREECE and WORLD DANCE and DANCE SPORT COUNCIL
NATIONAL COUNCIL DANCE of GREECE (N.D.C.G.) recognized Gadala Fotini and gave her the honorary title of examiner.
OCTOBER OF 2006, GADALA DANCE STUDIO becomes officially member of C.I.D. - UNESCO and with invitation, Gadala Fotini participated as lector in belly dance in the WORLD CONGRESS of DANCE of UNESCO that was carried out in Athens in 2006. Her proposal had title “TECHNIQUE OF TEACHING ORIENTAL DANCE” and was reported in the right method of teaching of - infectiousness in the learning and right comprehension of structure and technique in bellydancing
2. OBJECTIVES AND PRIORITIES
PRIORITIES AND OUR OBJECTIVES ARE THE PROMOTION OF RICH ARABIC CULTURE AND FOLKLORE ART AND ALSO THE OFFICIAL, ESSENTIAL, QUALITATIVE AND THOROUGH LEARNING AND TEACHING STRUCTURE AND TECHNIQUE ON ORIENTAL DANCE.
The originality, the knowledge and the rich methodical experience and teaching of the founder of the GADALA ORIENTAL DANCE STUDIO Mrs GADALA FOTINI, after her multiannual research and her achieved activity in the sector of education and technical teaching of oriental dance as well as the rate of success of her students, make GADALA ORIENTAL DANCE STUDIO the most responsible and specialised centre of teaching belly dance in Greece.
3. OUR VISION
MAIN VISION AND OUR CONCERN IS THE RIGHT PERCEPTION AND COMPREHENSION OF THE “MISUNDERSTAND” ORIENTAL DANCE -THUS AS IT IS APPEARED AND REFLECTS IN THE WIDE PUBLIC
